Yes, Alexa Feser has indisputable right much songwriting potential. She has an extraordinary voice recognition and without a doubt the purity and worth listening to the complete album "Gold of tomorrow".
But sometimes creeps me the suspicion that it is all somehow willed. It is this Indefinite in their texts, these formulations in which I sometimes think that there is now too much geschwurbelt to deliberately mysterious. That must be nothing wrong and that leaves so much room for interpretation. But I'm missing too often a clear message. Even in the single "Here We Are" this message is for me very wishy-washy simply that I have everything already heard dozens of times from German bands, it all sounds like an imitation of July or Silvermoon or gunslinger. It is this "The whole life is a prom" thing that runs through many of the songs lyrics of Alexa Feser. It is in a phase between arrival and exhaustion. And that's the problem: it does not go quite further, but it is done, as we have now seen through the life and could now live on until this life somehow intervenes again and harassed us with uncertainties so.
But as I said: the listening here worthwhile anyway. When these Ohohohs and Ahahahs wegdenkt the whole dangling in her voice, these many completely unnecessary wordless grind, one discovers pearls here.
"December Child", "I'm staying", "white", "happiness" - these are really good numbers that Alexa me Feser has packed. Here she sounds even independently in really good moments and not only, let's say, inspired by Grönemeyer, Werding, Bendzko. And I forgive you like a okayes "We are here", but that certainly is very catchy. And yet the very plates "city without Skyline" or "More than one song," I can be happy in the face of neglect of these 4 great oa songs.
No all round work as a whole, but perfectly fine - with some weak points, but also some truly golden moments.
