Thierry Aznard performed a mammoth task, but in the end we remain perplexed by some chronic. Indeed we do not know is rock hard and we are left with interesting albums but do not prove to be the best disk groups. Either the known hard rock and end up with albums for a long time already Reviewed (Alice Cooper, Bon Jovi, Queen (the miracle), Def Leppard, Iggy Pop, Deep Purple, Kiss (Love gun?) Etc ... and that brings us nothing. Why speak of the first Bon Jovi and no mention of the less known bands like Keel, Steeler, Lizzy Borden etc ... Pat Benatar ok but talking about groups like Kick Axe, Culprit was much more daring! Either the hard rock but we know we want to discover other groups and there, there are some interesting groups but the albums are not always well chosen, Kix example, Raven, Black'n'n blue (worst Album the least original), the same for Hanoi Rocks or Blackfoot etc ... and sometimes why choose the best just like RIOT "Fire Down Under" or Spellbound Tygers of Pan Tang are recognized as their best albums? So on what criteria is it based to name a few? Because if it's fine to mention STARZ, it is a pity not find April Wine, it is well to quote Killer but why not include ACID? It is well to quote Silverhead but why not talk about Hollywood Brats? It is also interesting to talk about but it's still Witchfinder General hollow and it would have been interesting to define more than just their music by saying it is a by black sabbath, because at the time of its release, it was not all felt like one! In short, it should have been from the beginning that Thierry Asnard decides to review his favorite albums and fully view this election, which would give real meaning to the book or so to make the book a kind of history in "Fargo Rock city "that could have an excellent frame to chronic. There are very good and some chronic further information are also very good but others much less, like Angel, album criticism is excellent, however the info supplements are already known and it would was rather interesting to develop the musical appearance on the album. Also of note is a very good preface to Daniel Lesueur and an excellent introduction to the book that explains in a clear way the birth of hard rock. Thierry Aznar is really passionate and I shoot him a big tip of the hat for his work as if I have not hooked is that I remain in the category of "too plaintiff and sometimes boring" and I think his books give pleasure to many other followers of hard rock in general!
