Pros:
+ Great UI design in the Metro style
+ Intuitive operation of the tile surface analogous Windows Phone
+ Fast Resume already open apps (reboot takes sometimes longer)
+ True multitasking
+ Comprehensive software features with Office, OneNote and basic equipment at Microsoft Apps (Bing News, Finance, Weather, Email, Skype, Skydrive etc.)
+ App Store has for me (almost) all necessary OEM apps (eg Amazon, Kindle) and good third-party alternatives (MetroTube, Nextgen Reader) at fair prices (jew. 1-2 Euro)
+ Great and for me sufficiently sharp display (I do not need Retina resolution)
+ USB port for external mouse, keyboard, USB stick, etc.
+ Memory expansion via Micro SD card for music, videos, etc. (Note: SD card stored music is not automatically recorded in the music library, but there is a well-described workaround on YouTube)
+ Mini HDMI output for external monitors / TV (adapter required)
+ Excellent build quality of the case
+ Very convenient kick-stand for watching videos longer
+ Long battery life (up to 3 days under normal use morning and night, between disabled W-Lan) and short charging times (about 2 - 3 hours)
Cons:
- App Store is still in the construction phase (the app should offer 8 win with the increasing popularity of Windows to drive)
- Unclear Windows Classic environment (if you want abtauche deeper in the settings, but should be better by the 8.1 update by October 18, 2013)
- The not necessary, but certainly for prolific writer meaningful touch or type cover must be purchased separately (Touch Cover currently costs 79.99 at the Microsoft Store)
Conclusion:
Strong buy recommendation for all "Normalo users" who are looking for a (now) gepreiste fair, well-designed and processed alternative to Apple or Android monotony
