This was the album that won my heart for prince. Everything else was at all magnificence a strange stuffy importance - I lack here completely. to my ears is an uncommonly symapthisches, unstressed, casual, casual very-late-hippy-album in 1986, for a short time the sixties again. pop, jazz, soul, folk, psychedelich, everything here is very relaxed side by side on the lawn.
is simply terrific "rasperry Baret" - if he does so mercilessly irresistible simple pop (like "Little Red Corvette" or "kiss"), I find it almost more charming than when he again indulges the hormonally overdosed pelvic floor funk.
