After about 1 1/2 weeks use of the Moto G (XT 1032) m. Android version 4.4.4, I am so far quite pleased. I have installed now some useful apps (eg notes, shopping lists, Messenger, small Logikspielchen ...) and Widgets f. U calendar. Weather and call also mails via mobile phone from Google or I from time to time some. The camera I have not yet used frequently, is perhaps not quite as good as the Nexus from, but I expect from a cell phone also no SLR results - for my purposes is sufficient quality.
One problem I had, however, until three days: no mobile network reception (WLAN contrast perfectly) was the problem - as it turned out after lengthy research - not the Moto G-unit, but the mobile operator BOB, I have a
Smartbob simcard in Austria.
At this point I would like all BOB customer warn that plan to switch to a Moto G. BOB has a crucial mistake in the data sheet for Android users ([...]) on page 2: "WAP Profile Name: data.bob" - this is WRONG!
Correctly you have to "bob.data" as Name [Settings for mobile networks under the "access points (APN)" edit] box.
Furthermore, it is (with Bob simcard) unfortunately necessary to activate data roaming, ie in cross-border trips or holidays must not forget to deactivate it, otherwise may enormous costs.
To keep the data usage to skyrocket, I also have the settings of the automatic app updates (Google Play / Settings) made so that they are activated only when Wi-Fi reception.
As I said, so far I am very satisfied, the size (4.5 inches) fits - should be greater for me a cell phone is not.
Matching I ordered a Flip Case (PSC = 1) with which I am very satisfied, the smart phone fits perfectly and keeps well.
Conclusion: so far optimally met expectations for the price ... hope it stays even after long use that.
PS: Unfortunately, I have just discovered that the price of this 16GB smartphone has fallen by 30 euros for my purchase two weeks ago, I had still to wait ...
