A huge, huge heart stroke! Absolutely loved this book, whose qualities are balanced between the originality of the universe, humor and dynamism of writing and scathing criticism of our mercantile society. The first two appeared to me almost immediately starting to read while the third appeared to me as you but me increasingly horrified. I was very surprised by the proposed universe. It is indeed true fantasy, not fantastic because dragons have always existed, as well as magic and they are part of history while still being valid. At the same time, this world is very similar to ours, with cars, telephones, advertising, real estate, etc. In addition, there sometimes has references to existing names or countries, like Darwin or China. It is thus a perfectly coherent and assumed mixing, giving a result of rare originality, where one recognizes it but not quite. There is also a real research in the organization and construction of this society, particularly in terms of magical practices (which, and it made me laugh, are codified with a lot of paperwork). The humor is undoubtedly one of the main strengths of this novel. There we find many humorous distributed and winks to our world, but especially in a tone completely shifted, and it consistently throughout the narrative, giving a rich and dynamic text. But as I said, so I was at the end of the worst hit counts is how this book proves in the end a scathing critique of our mercantile, consumerist society. It's amazing what lengths we can come for the money, for land or for media information, and rude behavior that can result; it is all the more shocking that this is true, the reflection of our own society is so exact that we do not doubt for a second that the events would take place and if this story really happen. Talented on the bottom as on the form, this book is a marvel, and it gave me a real desire to discover the adult books that wrote the author, which I had heard so far without having had the opportunity to read it, a step that I am very satisfied to have reached. I have one regret for me is that it's a one-shot. I wanted more depth especially for the characters because in this case I got tremendously attached and I wanted to rub them longer, learn more about them. The plot, its construction and rhythm yet perfectly suited to the format, including a surprisingly worked fine and that raises unexpected sails superbly while resolving the situation. But it's still hard to have the one-shot when you're used to the development ... This book deserves to be known; when you see the title, coverage and summary, one can expect that this is just fantastic with a girl like you see too much in too, but promised, it is much deeper than that ... ! This is the real fantasy universe worked with, a full plot, endearing characters, a funny text background and a whistleblower who deserves reflection! Lean on it, it's worth it!
