I do not want to write down all the points again here that have been listed already sufficient.
Due to the recession here and a recommendation from a forum I have decided for the device.
Why Brother?
Against Lexmark and HP I've got antipathy (sorry ..)
An Epson I have long and was very happy
Canon would have been an alternative
I wanted:
Printer (ev. SW Laser because I need very little color prints)
Scanner
Copier
Bypass tray
Network connection, if possible wireless but not a must
When inkjets then:
4 individual ink cartridges with ink Stahler
Cheap acquisition at third-party, best without Chip
Somehow I'm then stuck with the unit and have ordered it on a whim.
Unpacking
No Problem. Everything necessary in films, otherwise a lot of cardboard and no Styrofoam
Set up
The whole transport bolts must be removed and paper can be loaded.
The power cord can I find a bit awkward in the left margin
Inserting Tintenparonen
The four cartridges are front right and there are easily accessible without the printer to open
connect the LAN
Here one must now open the printer, which also surprised me somewhat. The cables must then be laid enlang very artistic cable channel before you can connect the printer again.
Install the software (for me under XP)
This went on for quite some time, as several programs and printer drivers are installed. But at all times it was clear what happened and what we need to confirm.
When everything was ready, the printer was already in 'sleep mode' in the network. I simply sent a print job. No Problem. The document came quickly out of the printer. Scan the same document again .. before I had gone to the PC, the scan was already there.
Not much more I have not tested, but the recession can 'live' yes.
My first impressions:
could not be better.
Thank you Brother. Ye have been thinking and reduces my work to a minimum.
Basically, I am a 'Little Printer'. It may be that I print only 10 pages per month. But it annoys me then immeasurably if I have to spend half an hour in order to bring it back up and running again.
The thing has functioned when I need it.
Let's see how it creates the Brother ...
