I have also tried, though I been mounted on the Nikon D7000 get the 500mm telephoto in the backpack. They are at least 31.5 cm length. It comes at a pinch, but not cross, but along - and then I have to work very hard to be able to close the zipper. And for another DSRL camera with lens, it will then place overly critical. So you have to separate the camera and lens. The entire backpack inner part is lined with a soft foam pad, so that the valuable photographic equipment is very well protected. My tripod, I could outer cross strap under the backpack. The backpack is black gray, plus there is an orange-colored rain cover.
In the back part of a plate with vaulted hard foam groove is installed. You should backpacking probably give the necessary stability to the inside to store directly behind a tablet. You can also store a water bottle and walking and even the few things that you might need as a photographer, such as batteries, filters, filter holder and memory cards. Other things you can put in a side pocket on the outside. I have found it very useful that the photo stuff are housed separately from the other objects, such as the water bottle. In waist belt left and right are two small pockets for a smartphone and possibly incorporated for a purse, as I have discovered. Overall, my organization and division of many subjects seems very well thought out.
The risers are good and sturdy workmanship and equipped with cushions. That's what I found very pleasant. They can be adjusted individually good. On the shoulder straps, a cross belt is front mounted again, which is very pleasant, because that does not slip any of the backpack from his shoulders, once you get violent moves or bends. The closures of the straps are plastic and not metal. Since I unfortunately had in the past with such plastic click fasteners even expensive camera bags in durability make bad experiences, I am skeptical how long do these things.
However, a certain problem I have with the corrugated and quite hard rear wall of the rucksack. I have taken several hours hike with a backpack and 8 kg photographic equipment. Unfortunately entered what I had feared before. Although I had the straps adjusted well, I had to the fluted back no joy, on the contrary. My back began after an hour to ache. Despite the "breathable" air mesh padding. I had to settle on several occasions the backpack. Presumably, the manufacturer is probably assumed with some justification the fact that predominantly men are traveling with a heavy camera equipment. Women wear now times in many cases - sorry, I have now times spill the beans - bra whose closure is on the back. And exactly at this point scrubs stable backplate after a few kilometers.
I also had another problem: The photo backpack is apparently not meant for small people, but for people with average length. Those like me who is only 1.60 m small, the sitting of the backpack without already under a tripod strapped downright on hips. But for the manufacturer's fault, the average citizen is in Germany probably more than 1.70m and is likely to have no problem with the backpack.
What has me still disturbed? After I had taken the backpack from the packaging, hit me against a strong indefinable smell. So between chemicals and plastics. The backpack is indeed sewn primarily clear, at some points but unfortunately not. Since a seam was sewn above the other and loosely hanging threads were not cut after sewing, but hanging so a few centimeters around. Inside the bag were a lot of small plastic balls. That makes me 'sorry dear manufacturers' no good impression. The inside zipper, which surrounds the inner pocket for the photo stuff, was, however, very well incorporated and actually fit.
My conclusion: For people with normal size a well-designed photo backpack with very sensible divisions that can be set individually. The risers are well padded. One point I draw from for the right hard, ridged back, which I did not get along well personally. Furthermore bothers me the quite strong chemical smell plastic, which has not yet gone after a few days. But overall it's a good photo backpack that can be recommended for photographers.
