As usual applies to games made by FFG for the box "my cup runneth over": It is equipped with excellent game much material. The material itself is of solid quality. The playing cards, miniatures and modular Schedule assert themselves even after many games against the players' hands. The cardboard inlay of the box was slightly bent and buckled at one point, but the game material was fully in order and complete.
In order to give glory to the truth was my real reason to buy this: I was looking for a game that was "alone" play - not every player for themselves but actually alone. And here I found it. A board game with "single player" mode. For me it was a whole new experience, and a good one at that! This possibility is due to the fact that the / the players against a deck commencement / start, which can be taken within the framework of the concept of "artificial intelligence": Was a player on train, the top card of the AI deck is uncovered and the actions of the opposing faction described it (the Locust, a non-human race who intends to go to humanity at the collar) performed in a condition-action structure. An example: "If a drone so many fields is removed from a player character, she pulls xy fields to this figure and attacks". Which brings us to the next point ...
The Team! The Gears of War board game humor already properly as a single player game, but the real fun then comes to roaring life when two to four players roll the dice and take together against the AI deck and try to meet the mitgegebenen in Rulebook missions. The more players, the bigger the fun, a simple calculation. Nevertheless: if you even want to give the experience to sit alone at the table, which is operated here and get their money, but the recommendation is this one: you grab a few friends and let fly together the card and roll the dice!
To conclude: Fine games. Really a fine little game ...
