This MagLite was once as bright and robust. Today I would describe only as robust (although that alone is already a great deal of value). However, the brightness is about my personal feeling beyond good and evil. A luminous flux of 14 lumens seems ridiculous when the state of current technology looks at times. Who is the LED module M2XP-G R5 has looked at, will understand what I mean: this module produces a luminous flux of approximately 180 lumens, which is almost 13 times. And other lamps (Fenic, ShureFire) offer much more for the money.
OK, the just mentioned module alone costs almost twice as much as this MagLite, but I now have a flashlight, as I wish it to me and how I need it: small, light, robust and really very bright.
3 star deduction, because with this lamp the technique of main part of the flashlight (the lamps) is hopelessly outdated.
1 star premium because the bulb has a modular design and a change of the light source works well and quickly.
1 Star surcharge, because the lamp is very robust.
