Good shaver with restrictions

The shave after an acclimatization period is satisfactory to good. The first shaves were accompanied by severe skin irritation, and the result was a little disappointing. The skin problems have, however, now placed fully. Previously to wash the tip of Philips in the explanatory videos for a closer shave your face with warm water and soap and then dry very well, I can only underline. In the wet shave so far I could not see any benefits, only shave dry. Except for a few places on the neck skin is shaved quite smooth.

You have to consider when buying that this model "only" has the DualPrecision heads. In the middle of the three shaving heads nothing is shaved, but only on the outer ring. Because certainly is an advantage in the 3D models (with Ultra-track shaving heads) and also in the partly cheaper models with Triple-track shaving heads. The shaving time is likely to be there less because more hair are recorded at the same time. This has been confirmed to me the reviews, for example for 85 expensive PT919 / 16 with Triple-track shaving heads. A direct comparison would be interesting.

A direct comparison I can draw only with an old and very simple Braun shaver (5312 model): with this I could not shave without additional help of a Nassrasieres me, especially neck and chin were the result really bad. Hence my decision to try times a rotary shaver from Philips.
However, Brown has indeed just like Philips different price categories, and the test results and reviews are there partly also very good.

The Philips is completely waterproof, so it can theoretically be used in the shower. But honestly, given the lack of mirror and the shower longer time that is not the truth.
For the device to be super easy but clean: Simply open the shaving head and keep it under the tap. A cleaning station I would regard as unnecessary and only caused additional utilities.

Due to the complete tightness of the device the charger is not connected directly to the shaver. The shaver can be charged through the Base Station, a shaving with infected cable for weak battery is not possible therefore. However, the battery lasts a long time and the current charging status is indicated by means of LEDs, so that this fact should not be a problem. One can only hope that the battery has a long life ..

Unlike many other razors here it has no built-in trimmer. On the one hand a nuisance because of the exchange procedure, but the enclosed Bart Tyler is also really good. For the three-day beard letting the comb attachment from easy. The rounded tips one can not so easily hurt. If you want to maintain a full beard, the comb attachment can be adjusted in lengths of 1-5mm.

Another accessory is the razor with a carrying bag. However, these can only accommodate the razor itself and with much trouble yet for Bart Tyler. Definitely for power supply and charging station is no room.

Finally, to the Cashback Action: 20 should be in the account within 30 days. However, it has lasted almost twice as long and I had to dig deeper at the Philips customer service once. This is not optimal, but if now get all their money (there were already some complaints, see reviews on Amazon or support forum Philips), which is no longer any reason for a point deduction for me.

I take a star off because of the not always optimal shave, actually yes, the most important criterion for a good razor. Was not sure if I was not even 2 stars to pull, but I find only the Bart Tyler so great that the whole package has definitely deserves four stars.

Would I buy it again? Yes, but I'd also like to try the better shaving heads which I have unfortunately not had the opportunity.
