The TV can not be beat, the more in this price range. The picture is very good: Uniform, fantastic color cover, no clouding, no fuzziness or blurring or other undesirable effects and a super anti-aliasing (all adjustable). Viewing angles are just unbelievably big, no matter where you look, clear image (known for plasma). There are many options for the image, specifically for each input source (AV, HDMI, USB, etc.) self-explanatory programmable and is using the wizard also easy (you can then assign the desired input sources, including several at the same time if desired, made really great) , Everyone will find his preferred setting, in addition to the existing as Lively, Cinema, Game, Expert 1 and 2, etc. (these customizable, depending on selective mode there are different options). DVB-T and DVB-C comes despite digital SD signal really good (DVB-S I could not test), with a seat pitch of just 2.5m - 3m (in HD even 2m perfect since it still does not see any pixels , all the better if FullHD, you can see everything razor sharp). HD 720p and 1080p looks as expected from so best. Reviews and comments which complain here about the picture, I can not understand and I did not let me scare luckily it.
I have several TVs in the markets watched (even LEDs and Edge LEDs etc.) that were much more expensive (eg I wavered between the here and the Samsung UE65F6470 Edge LED for scarce 2000 -): the plasma TV has a amazing and very good picture. Other plasma looked a little pale at the store, although much more expensive. Only 4K TVs show tollere images, but they are on the one hand too expensive and use the other hand, of course, films or commercials that are broadcast with 4K-resolution Matrial - So Quark. The LG is really good, I am now always when I can sit down in front of it. The upscaling and interpolation is fantastic no matter via which input, even with highlights spots, which I completed in the WWW on the PC and look and are in a much lower resolution than what can represent my TV. Films can be easily watched afloat over the USB 3.0 interface (available quickly, fast forward and rewind - no problem), also from hard drives. The USB recording function, I have unfortunately not yet been able to test, but should, according to reviews of work well (having read think even if something else looks via HDMI or PC makes as Tripple Tuner?). The LG has a Orbiter mode, I have to, so that no station logos etc. in Branding Screen can - better safe than sorry. So far, no burn-in, etc. although I have spent hours on the menu. I made from Eco mode.
My previous TV was a LCD 52 "PFL7404 (top picture 4 years ago, I was always very happy with) and the contrast to 60" is as far as the image area significantly. The Philips is now in the bedroom with a seat pitch of 2m which "is perfect. The LG 60" with 52 already huge, exactly the desired effect cinema! I thought the picture could possibly be too pixelated at this size and with the small pitch which I have (living room 2.5 to 3m - depending on whether I anlehne me or bend forward)., But this is not so. I can connect a total of only the positive reviews me here: nobody has to be afraid that the picture is too grainy, even with DVB-T and "only" SD. Even the analog signal is still good. Everything of course depends on the mission from - some movies are broadcast from the same station in lower quality, or are so old and of such poor quality that it "may have more to look good in any 50-60 I had two TVs in building next to each other. connected and it could very well compare. 60 "to 52" is really a huge untersched. The plasma beats LCD in movies and pictures, but the LCD is a little better at the PC image (via HDMI) in word processor or the Web (and even if dark text is displayed on a large bright background). This is but ev. in mind that you can not make more than 60 Hertz number (1920x1090 PC via HDMI), because I'm not sure. In my very old CRT monitors have one as simply placed on 75 Hertz and all was well. Maybe going in the plasma also somehow (with LCD not necessary / possible), I have to investigate further (graphics card settings, etc. ev.).
3D Works supergut even zuzweit before sitting (I see no difference to the cinema CinnemaxX and co). The here mentioned in the other reviews Samsung Glasses (SSG-P51002 / XC 3D Active Shutter) work wonderfully. Some 2D TV films the 3D conversion also works surprisingly well (depends on the movie) - but you notice here that the film is then tiring and a little acting restless, so not my cup of tea.
The black level when LG is wonderful, only completely white text (WWW on the PC, as already mentioned) looks the signal restless. One must also make sure the mode game otherwise there is input lag (the mouse does not come afterwards for example). It should also be the focus completely to 0 for the PC source (with me over HDMI), otherwise washed out the lyrics. I have my text background but simply do not know and therefore everything is very good even when PC - super image and super pleasant.
The integrated Smart TV (Internet and 3D movies portal of the LGS) is a bit slow and pops Arnold Böcklin small right at RTL and co as a note with channel switch on, if LAN off (the TV has no built-in Wi-Fi) - but I have anyway my PC off. Advantage: Updates etc. he plays a self, really good (so far only two times). I have the options "LG Send feedback" off. As I said, there are many configuration options and the remote control is long and has many buttons. I'm pretty sure that everyone here can cover its needs available settings for the image individually with the.
TV Programs Order is a bit awkward but not in itself a problem. Switching of normal channels is ok with less than one second. Encrypted private HD channels take a second longer necessary due to the CI + module and the smartcard. The only real drawback, there is only one optical / digital audio output (Toslink) and no Chinch or even headphone output, so I unfortunately my old hi-fi system is not readily connect more can, which is a pity (perhaps it goes but via Scart ?). But an expensive active converter I will only reason not to buy me an extra. PC Audio and Blue-ray 3D players have each "older" outputs, so I can enjoy over the plant this course. The sound of the TV is good. Again, there are Preset Modes (Cinema, wall mounting, pedestal, etc., and even has its own Equalizer who wants to fondle himself), but of course the LG internal speakers conveys lack watt power not the deep bass that would be needed for a real "blockbuster Dolby / Digital surround-cinema "feeling. However, there is a great "clear voice" function that wonderful governs the relationship of explosions and voice. Otherwise you always adjusted upward the volume in votes and down in explosions that you have not now, I find really good!
My room has no direct sun, but during the day light (white walls). The screen is made of glass and mirrors over my LCD previously, you have to be able to accept. For me it's no problem at LG, the picture is bright enough. My screen luminance (extra set), contrast and brightness is always running in all variants with me (HDMI, AV, PC, etc.) only in 60-70 and not 90 or 100. So even with properly lit rooms there still looking for improvement, but me is all dadrüber too bright / light. For the PC I have everything even only at 50-60. All sources see top and as I said, there are almost an infinite number of settings for the picture, as each should be possible should get his preferred setting. Configuration image 1-2h have cost me determined and the channel programming 100 channels again 1-2h. So you need a little time and patience, but I did it fun - I recommend to do on weekends. :-)
In extreme white you can imagine to hear a whirring (sometimes I hear it at first briefly and only when PC signal if large white background and only the beginning). Otherwise there is no beep, the TV anyway look not - I have not measured power consumption. But I am not so important whether 150W or 200W. Think with the contrast and brightness of 60-70 will fit the manufacturer's instructions already. Connections could be the LG have more to support older technology - but has everything you could need nowadays.
Who buys this TV does nothing wrong when this size desired and plasma is not a problem. I know there are nostalgic LCD or LED-LCD fans - I was once a (previously). Until the OLED technology comes out and is affordable, the LG has been the right choice for me. The TV gets from me 5 stars. Would he cost twice he might get only 4, but. Only because the acting restless PC signal with completely white areas
I've determined forget anything (to experience or things that I've tried), if it should occur to me later, I add this added later. Until then, should buy all the a, congratulations and have fun with the TV! More TV not least of all do you get for the money. One has ev only his wife from the block and the need of a giant screen ;-) convince, because for under 900, -. That's just a bargain. I'm glad I listened to the positive reviews here and I have will not be deterred by the negative. I thank all my Vorbewertern it.
Addendum (Update 5-Jan):
I have now tested the USB recording function and it works for me not, neither external nor HD USB flash drive (also NTFS and FAT32 tried). Watching movies (all possible formats) and pictures went very well and very quickly, despite 3TB hard drive. I browsed the net and it is said that digital stations can not be taken (generally in LGs). But Analog to go. Very sad, but I'll take a long time nothing more in TV on.
However, I have managed to connect my TV with a Scart-out connector on my HiFi system via RCA and it works beautifully, but only for all non-HD digital channels. Once a channel by CI + module and encryption comes with a smart card, unfortunately läufts no longer (even movies via USB, I can not hear from the plant, it's just for TV). How the Toslink (optical) output is, I could not test, because I lack the converter, but I will order ev -. Can not imagine that there's also not going for me HD - another update is necessary, then follow ...
Both have no effect on my review of the TV, I find the LG still great!
PS: Whoever finds typos may keep them: -D
