Book containing excerpts without head or tail

This book is a collection of wishes piping posts excerpts from some "enlightened", sages, wizards of all time.
I do not see them the driving and reading the excerpts I can not draw any conclusion. I had the impression of a Lego collections assembled anyhow.
This book allowed me just to access the tablets of Thoth, masterly work of alchemy that I recommend to all thirsty for knowledge.
