Acceptable substitute for 40W G9 halogen

The bulbs an acceptable light color (slightly bluer than halogen, which certainly stands out in direct comparison). I would consider to be somewhat brighter than 40W G9 Halogen, take but not much with the bulbs previously used. The only drawback: The rectifier but lacking a viable smoothing, so that the light flickers unfortunately with 100Hz (50Hz mains voltage, on each half cycle on and off again). The falls on only when movement and you get used to it, but takes some getting weird. Conclusion: For kitchen and bathroom okay, for living spaces not so.
