The whole system is completely passive.
The power supply itself does, as already the 120W version, an impression of quality and comes in contrast to the 120, with a 2.5mm-to-2.1mm adapter therefore, I personally did not need. The 90W power supply has for no operating lights. The velvet bag is of course a smart idea and makes the whole thing seem noble.
I have measured with a KD 302 from Profitec. At idle, my system is at about 11W. The power supply is not even lukewarm. Compared to the 120W power supply I could with an otherwise identical configuration 0.3W save (OK, not the world, and certainly not surprising). For the maximum consumption Prime95 and Furmark simultaneously use what I'm on about 76W. The power supply is in the load, however, already relatively warm after 10 minutes (estimated at ~ 45 ° C at room temperature). So a high value, I will probably never get anyway in normal use (surfing or listening to music about 12W and Amazon Instant Video about 19W on average).
I have now used two weeks. The power supply is always silent. I would recommend it without reservation.
