One can not of course compare with 2.1 subwoofer-equipped systems, or with the bass of the mother of all 2.0 speakers (the more expensive Creative GigaWorks T20 Series II Speakers 2.0). But it plays absolutely in a league with other large monitors in standard built-in speakers.
The system is installed by being snapped into two bottom mounting slots (the most recent Dell monitors are equipped with it, for monitors from other manufacturers, it is therefore not geeigent). Then only one cable needs to be plugged into the USB hub on the monitor and you're done (separate power supply is not needed).
What is very handy (next to the port without any clutter), is that on the right side of a wheel is the one that can quickly and easily adjust the volume (the wheel operated in principle the volume control of Windows in Taskbar).
So it's ideal to have for office operating at times tone for a YouTube video or a game, etc ... space-saving and clutter free. To permanently so that listening to music, or playing games that should properly have oomph in the sound effects, but it is rather undersized.
If it is to be more, you will also need to invest substantially more. Who does not suffice here, one can in any case the other 2.0 stereo Brüllwürfel offered in this price range, even forget (since I have previously tried several).
Conclusion: As a basic sound, in the price range in combination with a Dell monitor is the best option. But who wants to tidy plenty of sound (action games or movies), which must also significantly more money to spend.
