Even to me was the digital age not over yet. The first steps I made with a compact Olympus camera, the first was still running alongside the analogue mirror reflex. More and more there was a shift towards digital photography. And I had always compact cameras, where I was got away from Olympus something because their compact products could have no such large optical zoom (which to me has always been very important). Recently I had the Konica Minolta Dimage Z2, which had to be replaced after 5 years but now.
Like many others, I had to decide how it should go further. For me it was clear that it again should be in the range DSLR an Olympus product. Contrary to many other fellow but I usually do not feel like, with months of decisions to plague me around but I trusted this Amazon Forum and its friendly owners.
The Olympus Doublezoom Kit had to show approximately 50 ratings in my purchase, including at least 36 with 5 stars and only a few with less than 3 stars.
Encouraged by this positive feedbak So I bought me this kit and after a few weeks I can only say that it was absolutely the right decision.
The camera's hammer fast and has virtually no shutter lag. This was always the biggest shortcoming in my previous compact digital cameras. The body as well as the lenses are extremely high quality. The operation of the camera is a good manual describes (the not to have been given the impression translated with a blunt Internet Translator of Chinese in German).
The attached two lenses cover the usually required focal length range from sufficient for wildlife photography (long focal length) or sports photography (High intensity) but you should think about additional lenses.
One shortcoming is that unlike most compact cameras can turn any movies but that seem to have all the DSLR common. Nevertheless, this shortcoming should be aware of when you're dealing with a compact or bridge cameras used to.
Further, it is a pity that Olympus still goes its own way and does not support the xD-Picture Card and a CF card the usual standard SD card. Even an original replacement battery is around 80 EUR correctly expensive to purchase and costs compared to complete Double Zoom Kit nearly 20 percent. Olympus it should work, but alternatively cheap no-name products are used on the one but unfortunately not always hear good.
Regardless of these recent critical remarks I can but issue a strong buy recommendation for the E-520 as Double Zoom Kit and I wish to express all the reviewers in this Amazon Forum my thanks that I was motivated by the many positive reviews for purchasing this camera , Despite the surprisingly low price, you get a quality product that can certainly more than keep up with many (even more expensive) cameras.
