I deliberately chose this model and Pentax because I have convinced many (very) good reviews. The K-3 is still too expensive. The K-5 II could it possibly also may be because it has a very good price / performance ratio. The K-50 has, however, no significant improvements over the K-30, intersect in some tests even worse. The K-S1 is not sealed and the "light show" I do not need. The new K-S2 from mid-March ... would be well worth a look.
It's great and not taken for granted in this price range that one camera against wind, rain and dust is sealed and that there are appropriate lenses, which are also available. This calm but very. Despite a photo course of course I could not even get to know the numerous possibilities offered by this camera.
However, I think that the K-30 can still operate very innovative and, inter alia, takes off with the two 2-user mode settings and the two dials of the competition.
Though Pentax has no large market share, I find the choice of lenses but for me totally acceptable. Here I was skeptical at first. Because the image stabilizer is located in the camera and thus not necessarily be in the lens, is the use of old lenses umproblematisch. Especially the K-bayonet is installed since the 70s, the selection is correspondingly large. Here is just to note that you may have to do without the auto-focus and / or shutter priority.
The K-30 makes certainly very good photos. Of course, one should not underestimate the fact that the image quality is largely determined by the lens and not the body! Here the chaff from the wheat.
