Had received the Fritz box 7360, but even after upgrading to the latest FritzOS and lots of tweaking the wireless connection was very unstable and weak. Not satisfactory. Both in the short as well as longer distance.
To the settings it was certainly not because I'm not inexperienced in IT technology, first (channels, interference in the WLAN, etc. were considered) and secondly, it then so tried with recommendations from guidance of chip.de for the Fritz box.
Did the Fritz box 7360 then returned aghast at Amazon and exchanged for a Fritz box 7490.
The Fritz box 7490 is as worlds better - even to 2,4GHZ mode significantly faster wireless connection and better reception.
With an Ethernet connection, the 7490 showed the speed test on average ~ 85 Mbit / s (which is absolutely okay) who came to ~ 75 Mbit / s on average 7360.
This performance data also underscore the tests in trade magazines.
The wireless crashes and extreme fluctuations no longer occur with the 7490.
Who has a quick connection should the modem / router does not save, because that is ultimately crucial for what arrives at the terminal for a transmission speed!
