I love how this young writer knows "describe" with such grace human feelings and reactions that result. The past, the present ... What the past can do this ... It sounds basic, it is not. In his two books, each moment, exude a heightened sensitivity, a poignant and sharp intelligence. I felt dawn there, two "small" books, an extraordinary talent. The human landscape is beautiful or ugly ... Whatever it is, whatever the point of view of one or other of the characters, it takes you to the guts and it hurts. Evil in the head, evil in the heart. Mal life. But an evil that brings us, who carries us and causes us to believe; because nothing is free, everything is weighed and considered. Machiavellian or instinctive. "The Apartment"? Who could understand? Who can say, at the beginning of this book, through so many twists and turns, so many human tragedies, its outcome? The truth ... I'm speechless for months. Even now, I realize that my review is quite laconic. Easier to criticize than to praise! But ... my finest moment playing for months is this novel. To read, to keep, to share.
