Since I'm apparently not the only one who is looking for a pair of binoculars for a child, I want to give a short report on various offered here Binoculars which will perhaps be the one and other decision support. The initial situation: I wanted my three-year (hunting out) son give a pair of binoculars with which he may be on the way to walk and stalking. Course provides a three year old child have any particular demands on optics, but I still wanted to have a useful glass for the purpose. So nothing that just looks like a pair of binoculars and is pretty colorful. Below I describe my subjective impressions: First, I ordered after reading various reviews the Pfiffikus 42392 - Professional Binoculars with belt pouch. According to information, this is a 4x30 glass (4x magnification with 30mm lens diameter). Was delivered a matching belt pouch next to the binoculars and a shoulder strap. Feel, look: Everything makes a solid impression. The glass is not too big and not too small. The thumb wheel should be easily accessible for children. The rubber works well, so that even a fall times should be over. Optics: Not suitable. The image is blurred and I did not manage to have a coherent picture. There were always two separate images that do not complement each other. A single Okularverstellung is not possible. With professional binoculars this has unfortunately nothing to do and seems to be more window dressing. This is the third largest binoculars mentioned here. Next, I tested the National Geographic 9104000 children binoculars (4x30 mm lens). Also this has a 4-fold magnification with 30mm lens diameter. Here is included in addition to a cleaning cloth only a wrist strap. A belt bag is not included here. Haptics, appearance: Plastic, plastic, plastic. These binoculars makes the worst impression of the feel and the look. It looks more like a game of binoculars. Appearance: The first impression unfortunately continues even in the optics. Even this is not suitable for real observations. As with the first glass did not allow me to see an attractive, coherent picture. This glass is manufactured by Bresser, which is well known for a decent price / performance ratio. This is the second largest binoculars mentioned here. Beautifully green and very compact binoculars, Expedition Nature, moses, 9654 comes along. It is almost the smallest of the compared binoculars and has a fixed shoulder strap. Here a cleaning cloth and a belt bag is still supplied. Haptics, appearance: These binoculars makes a solid impression. Is super compact and completely gummed. It sure is this is not a special children's binoculars, but a normal pocket binoculars. The thumb wheel can be easily reached and the mechanism is no reason to complain. Appearance: This is neat. Clear it considers a comparison with high-quality binoculars not stand, but is quite suitable to get to have a go a little closer. Here we have an 8x magnification with 21mm lens diameter. So not as bright as the previous glasses. An eyepiece can be adjusted so that a good focusing is possible. The rubber caps on the eyepieces can be folded down for eyeglass wearers.
Another pair of binoculars from the house is the Bresser Bresser binoculars - 1110821 - Hunter 8x21. This is only slightly larger than the glass and Moses was very much like this apart from the color. Here a cleaning cloth, a carry case and a detachable shoulder strap is included in addition to binoculars, which can be used to reassign the pocket also. The glass itself has also a fixed shoulder strap. Haptics, Appearance: small and very compact. Again, there is no cause to complain. Everything is processed properly and solid. The entire glass is rubberized. Appearance: This is also very neat for the price. Blur towards the edges are present but tolerable. Again, an eyepiece can be adjusted to optimize the sharpness of their own eyesight. The two rubber caps can be folded down for eyeglass wearers. Also, this is a normal pocket binoculars and no special children's binoculars. Suitable but it would be for larger children from 4 or 5 years. Recently I tested nor Bresser junior 8810621 children binoculars 6x21. This is the largest of the compared glasses but still compact enough to be taken on a hike. Again, a belt pouch, wrist strap and cleaning cloth are included. Feel, look: This is conceived for children. Loud inks also to be found again. Good rubber coating to sometimes to survive a fall and the adjustment wheel is large and handy. It makes a robust impression, and certainly not rickety. Optics: Child looks meet adults optics. Again out of the house Bresser, this glass provides significantly more than the National Geographic glass before. An ordinary (glass) optics with decent image. Towards the edges slightly blurred but in the acceptable range. An eyepiece can be adjusted and the Okularkappen can be folded. This glass has a 6x magnification with 21mm lens diameter. This is another argument for a child-suitable glass, since too large magnification makes it difficult to find the desired object. I would say an optimal center. Conclusion: The first two glasses are suitable as a gimmick but not for real use and not for children's eyes. The second two glasses are ordinary binoculars, which are designed for the pocket of adults, but would go down well even with older children. Finally, I decided for the latter Bresser Junior, as it combines the advantages of children (suitable) binoculars with a neat appearance. It makes a stablilen impression (the Verstellmechnismus seems to work only in binoculars body, I could not see that the optics move outwardly when rotating the adjustment wheel. I hope that this rudimentary overview offers assistance in finding a suitable binoculars for a child.
