Here is my review for LED Flashlight "LiteXpress Mini Palm 101":
I've gotten a small collection of diverse (mini-) flashlights; I'm always looking for a smaller "normal battery" LED lamp, I recently bought these 'Mini Palm 101'.
There are even smaller lamps, but then always run with expensive 'Einweg' button cells. The Mini Palm 101 runs against an ordinary Micro battery ('AAA'). And in this category, it is the smallest, which is me come across so far: only 6.8 cm long, about 14 mm in diameter (at the thickest point) and weighs about 10.7 grams (without battery!). Thus, it proposes, for example (only for comparison) clear the "LED Lenser P2" (9.6 cm / 14 mm / approx 27.4 grams (of course even without battery)).
-bzw With this size. Length- finally a 'AAA lamp' that fits even in a purse!
The brightness is decent; I can indeed (without instrument) determine a lumen value, but in direct comparison with what is mentioned LED Lenser (both P2 and P3 model), nearly 50% lighter.
Very like I'm doing the illumination range of the Mini Palm 101: the bright 'central' spot is at an angle of perhaps (I can only roughly estimate) ~ 5 ° radiated. The -in the brightness outside abnehmende- 'Hof' shines nice and wide, with perhaps 80 ° - this is important if you are traveling outside in the dark, and the sidewalk / forest paths etc. and off the Focus 'guess' needs ( to avoid tripping over hill and dale, or to step into the void (curb!)).
In principle, the lamp has only advantages (cheaper price, super-small despite AAA battery, beautiful atrium 'illuminate way' to); But where there is light, there is shadow - in this case the one drawback: the power consumption is (in relation to the luminosity !!!) immensely! My copy (every individual is here a little different) actually draws yet more than 630 mA from a fully charged battery pack / new battery; this is for modern mini LED lamps really very much! For comparison, here again the competition (also with 1 AAA battery runs): The P2 and P3 pull 'only' 230 or 180 mA; despite the (already mentioned) lower brightness so much 'energy-efficient' ...
After no more than an hour ago, a 800 mAh battery is already so emptied that the luminosity not clever enough to eg an asphalt road (straight asphalt 'swallows' a lot of light, especially when wet) illuminate sufficient.
Nevertheless bleit's a fine "for-ever-have this" lamp (whether on a key chain, in your jacket pocket, or actually just in your wallet), so 4 out of 5 stars - the fifth goes unfortunately it due to the high inefficiency :-(
