I was to accommodate the search for a simple way my server in another room, without having to run an Ethernet cable or use a wireless connection. I initially ordered the model TP Link 200Mbit / s. The connection has been automatically established immediately without settings on my part. The transmission rate levels off at about 5-6MB (sic) a per second. It makes no difference in the transmission speed if you put the adapter directly into the wall outlet or to a connected power strip. This speed can be compared under any circumstances with a direct cable connection, but sufficient for transmission of HD video.
Then I bought an adapter with 500Mbit / s. The installation was also very easy. Unfortunately, I could not detect any increase in speed!
Meanwhile, I use 3 Adapter (2x and 1x 500Mbits 200Mbits) without problems on the same network to connect several rooms.
I can recommend the TP-Link Powerline network adapter fully, though not justifying the extra cost for the 500 Mbit / s Model.
