I have now tried out a lot of capsules to be bound by Nespresso, but so far I could not really convince variety / company and I was wondering if it is because actually so hard to get good tasting coffee in the capsules. Nespresso manages indeed and have been for years.
The big supermarket where I buy, has now taken up a variety all Nachmacher capsules out of the offer and that speaks for sich.Meine hope therefore was not particularly great when I now held the capsules of Dallmayr in hand.
Packing:
Packed they are very decorative and useful in small boxes that can be opened up and can be stored well.
Seat in capsule shaft:
In my Citiz and in the small Inissia the capsules fit well in the capsule tray. The mechanism to open the capsules, had no problems with it and was pushing down without much resistance just like the Nespresso capsules. However, the older machine from Krups on my job was not thrilled with the foreign product. Here, the capsule was not pierced and we had to take back from the bay, because we did not want to damage the machine.
Water flow:
The other two machines took the capsules without problems and could be run as normal. The water flow will take longer than with the original capsule, but there is the normal water / coffee in the cup to.
The Taste:
I was almost surprised by the great crema and good taste, which I had not expected. Finally it has managed a coffee maker, fill the capsules with a well-roasted coffee. The espresso ristretto has the intensity of 10, yet tastes slightly bitter. Strong toasty aromas come very good effect and give the whole a very round but strong taste. Dallmayr recommends him to drink as Ristretto; ie in contrast to Espresso, for the 50 ml of water is needed, one here reduces the amount of water on its Nespresso machine (see instructions) to 30 ml. For me personally this is a little too strong and I stay with the espresso amount. Also known as Lungo can this capsule use because of their intense tasting filling, without the end result tastes diluted.
My conclusion: coffee is and remains a matter of taste and the range is large. Even the normal coffee from Dallmayr has always tasted very good to me and I'm excited that I have found an alternative to the Nespresso capsules. Priced the difference to the original capsules is not very large, but if I mean capsules can buy without the hype I finally, the Nespresso organized matter so for me that is already a very big argument for these capsules as from me, even the Barista, get 5 Stars for application and taste.
