A "Ristretto" is nothing more than a "shortened" espresso (just over half of water and time, higher vapor pressure or higher compressed dark toasted powder), quasi powerful "jigger" Espresso ... whereas a Lungo is an "extended" espresso (twice as much water, high pressure and higher compressed, dark toasted powder), quasi a strong small coffee, to which it always has a glass of water.
Who also an espresso addiction, ...
... Where the coffee beans are sustained and controlled organically grown,
... On plantations where the coffee pickers get more than just 3 to 5 euros per day,
... Where there is a social responsibility, ideally, out of season,
should rather not this Ristretto buy here but - to stay with John Hornig - rather this:
Bionatural Bio Fairtrade espresso whole bean by J. Hornig
Manufacturer's product description:
Bionatural Espresso 100% Arabica beans is a purely organically grown highland coffee from fair trade. The gentle drum roasting also contributes to the high product quality. Unlike the industrial Heißluftröstung the coffee beans are roasted by evenly in the time-consuming drum roasting. Every sip espresso Bionatural helps to secure the existence of small farmers in the growing areas of Guatemala, Honduras and Colombia to counteract the deforestation of the rain forest and to protect our nature.
This espresso is - in my opinion - better in every way, and only you can explain how the company "John Hornig" in which direction it will go DESIRED IN THE FUTURE - only through your purchasing decision. And the Bionatural espresso tastes good and costs in spite of everything not more - but less: 17,99 Euro per kilo :-)
Everything you need to, for example, is:
150 Watt Universal mill electric stainless steel coffee grinder 50g Capacity of TZS First Austria
And this is unlikely to ever regret buying an espresso or coffee connoisseur-Libhaber because with freshly ground beans is no different than with freshly ground pepper and spices:
It tastes sooo much more intense and aromatic :-)
My conclusion to the ristretto:
Taste ****
