I had in front of the Astra already tried several blades, including Wilkinson (plucks, dull as RTL-trash TV), Derby (good everyday blade, but rather short, will quickly dull), (also called Personna Platinum "red Personna" very sharp, very gentle, long service life, one of the best blades ever) and Shark (similar to Derby, but quickly begins to pluck, to recommend less). So I have some benchmarks here. Most likely you can compare with the red Personna the Astra well. It is similar to gently, by an approximately equivalent sharpness (if not even more sharply), and has a service life of the the Personna very similar, with me about 8-10 shaves. Definitely a top-class blade, and at such an affordable price. Amazing. I tested the blade in my razor and my mill R89-The Bluebeards Revenge-Shavette. In either everything works without problems. It took a shave until my skin had become accustomed to the Astra, because they do a little bit sharper than the Personna which was my standard-blade until then. However, the Astra has taken their place now. My skin is very sensitive and there is currently no better blades for me. But the Feather yes I will try yet ... My Rasiertipp: Not too impress! Just let slide. The blade shaved almost all by themselves.
Conclusion: Unrestricted buy recommendation! These blades are worth gold. And at the price you have to slam easy to 100 blades have been forever! When I think how much I used gelatzt for system blades ... Since I have paid for 5 Mach-3-blade heads thereof as much as for 100 blades! They shave a thousand times better. I would any man who uses a system razor and foam cans recommend, on razors, shaving soap and brush and turn pivot a decent aftershave. The skin and the wallet's sake.
In this sense: all-time good average!
