My results after a short trial period is very positive. The device has a very nice aluminum case. In my test, the device had no failures. I have the HDMI Matrix connected to a PC with port one and two (2 monitors). And at Port 3 is the Unitymedia recorder at the cable connection, rarely I have also connected a laptop or another device, such as an Apple TV or iPad. At the outputs I have an Asus 1080p monitor and an old Dell monitor with a resolution of 1920 x 1200th The remote control is really handy if you want to switch between sources. The monitors are connected to a 7.5m HDMI to DVI cable and a 5m HDMI cable with the matrix. This is very simple and without a lot of cable clutter with the Matix because all connectors are on the back. The connectors are well made and no cable may slip accidentally. In my test was often switched between different compounds, the failover time is about 3-4 seconds, on all devices, the monitor is then black. The image quality is perfect, even to the very old Dell monitor.
The Surround Sound I do not have the matrix, therefore there is no review for this purpose. My conclusion: Who has a lot of sources and the monitor or television is not enough support resources or who want two devices display the picture and often other sources per monitor uses is right here. In addition, the matrix is very user-friendly.
