PROCESSING
It's mE processed to very good, especially considering their price compared to an iPad. Nothing creaks or cracks. The slightly rubberized back feels very pleasant and is very insensitive to fingerprints.
GETTING STARTED
Since I also use Win 8.1 on my PC, I signed up after switching on with my Microsoft account, and immediately everything was synchronized with my big PC. Ie immediately after unpacking the device is available. Wunderbar! Why oh why do they all say that it happens easily and comfortably only in the Apple world?
SCREEN
The screen has a perfect resolution, in particular the 16:10 I like to work very well. The brightness is high enough for me. I use the Omni during the day at max. 50% screen brightness. In the evening on the couch range 0 - 10% on the adjustment knob out completely.
Everything is ultra crisp, I am very satisfied. Since I'm going to do with this device no image editing (it uses one professional monitors in the price range around 1000 EUR) I am very satisfied with the color. A very slight yellow tinge as often noted, I can say also, but the color settings can be in the video driver menu finely calibrated and slightly warm presentation I find enjoyable.
All touch input is detected, also in the corners of the screen.
It has Gorilla Glass 3. This is of course not faint, like some previous recent thought and were therefore a little disappointed, but not as strong as the display of my Sony Tablet S or other displays that I've looked at the MM Reflects far. So you can say, it is easy no glare.
The automatic brightness control works (unlike my Android tablet) very pleasant.
DRIVERS SUPPORT
All current drivers were installed. (Delivery date 13:01:14) An update on the support of HP was not, however, in the case of new drivers needed without any problems.
OFFICE
Since I have a license for Office 2013 Pro, this package has been installed by me. DVD is inserted into the PC drive share in network and off we went to install.
Network printing is of course completely without any problems, it's a PC in tablet format!
Home & Student is pre-installed. Super!
USE AS A DESKTOP PC
When the Tablet Stand for 9,95 EUR AmazonBasics AmazonBasics Folding Stand for Kindle Fire, Kindle Touch, iPad 2, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 7.0anschafft (the ports located at Omni below can be used, since the distance to the tabletop enough), you can connect via the HDMI output to an external monitor, Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, to the USB port on a hub, etc. and so has a fully functional PC in dual monitor operation. Larger amounts of data should be stored on the network on a NAS.
Oh yes, the tablet is very fast, not jerky, all commands are implemented promptly.
=> Tablet, Notebook and PC in one unit incl. Win 8.1 and Office Home & Student is absolutely favorable for the list price of 399 EUR.
Conclusion: I'm thrilled. Before that I used an Android Sony Tablet S and I've also seen friends at an iPad, I do not miss the Android world, because these devices are just toys. Much does not work "ex works" (spec. Video formats, playback of data on a network storage, etc.) you have to look an app that then often does not work as desired ...
When Omni everything runs as it actually is a PC in tablet format :-) It can be as a toy for surfing use etc., or also as a useful working tool.
A good review on the web can be found at Notebookcheck.
Tip:
As a mouseover while surfing the internet with a tablet on some sites is not possible, there's the program "touch mouse pointer" Just google then, Amazon will not allow links
