I use the Wilkinson Quattro Titanium Precision for several years and was allowed to try out the new Gillette ProGlide Styler under a trnd mouth advertising project.
Here is my comparison result for the Gillette ProGlide Styler:
+ Larger battery (AA) as the Wilkinson Quattro Titanium Precision (AAA), therefore longer battery life, which is good
+ According to Stiftung Warentest better blade than the Wilkinson Quattro Titanium Precision (I myself have been able to notice any difference)
+ In contrast to Wilkinson Quattro Titanium Precision you can at Gillette ProGlide Styler during the wet shave a ripple function enable (if that really what brings, I can not say, but it's quite funny)
- The beard Stutz function is not integrated as the Wilkinson Quattro Titanium Precision in the handle, but wet shaving attachment and trimmer have to be changed every time in the long run cumbersome and annoying
- There are three different comb attachments for the trimmer, which must be changed and kept at the Wilkinson Quattro Titanium Precision is only an essay, which is adjustable practically in three stages
- The Storage Station of ProGlide Stylers is comparatively large (because they must accommodate three combs and the wet shaving attachment) and can not be easily fixed as the Wilkinson Quattro Titanium Precision with suction cups to the wall
- Replacement blades for the ProGlide Styler are more expensive than for the Wilkinson Quattro Titanium Precision
For both devices (Gillette and Wilkinson) applies:
Styling contours to the contours blade works well. However, I had the impression that (at least in my beard) the blade relatively quickly clogged (the same goes for the wet razor on the front). The cleaning is time-consuming and troublesome.
And one more warning to trim function: Who at cheap combi devices of this type have the same effect as cutting of separate professional trimmers expected will certainly be disappointed.
My Conclusion:
I prefer the Wilkinson Quattro Titanium Precision, because it is more convenient, especially when traveling and during fast trimming in between.
Those who place a high value on a good trim function should purchase a separate professional hair trimmer in any case.
