An acceptable Album - nothing more. One can not say that it is very good, because too many filler and average songs on it. The only really good songs are "Highest Trails Above" (good rockers), "Somebody Like Me" (Blues Rock!) And "My My Kind of Girl" (somewhat reminiscent of the 60s). The rest ... well, a strange half-ballad there's ("Time Has Come Today"), which seems somehow unfinished (even if would have been able to tolerate more pathos in this Ramones-epic length of 4 and a half minutes!) And a song with a title too long ("Everytime I Eat Vegetables It Makes Me Think of You"), which would have to be faster to be at the right Ramones rockers. Most, however, bother me at Subterranean Jungle the gruesome production. As o Gitaren and vocals sound very good. The bass has raised through the remastering and a little more moved into the foreground, also good. But the drums ... terrible! There you have done away with all -ntürlichen- Hall effect, ie the pool clinking not, make rather short "pfft", and that's it! The snare drum sound like a drum machine without force hears bass drum barely ... a shame, with good production the album sounds much better! As I said ... not a bad Ramones album, but rather average.
