It's a wonderful story for those who love nature.
Fortunately, around me, I have many relatives and friends may be affected by this book and I will hasten to make it known.
The author, Jean Giono (born in 1895 and died in 1970) was 20, when, during a race in the highlands of Provence, he had an encounter that mark until the end of his days.
His book, "The Man Who Planted Trees" is the story of true Elzéard Bouffier, a modest man (but an "exceptional" man!) Who after the premature death of his wife and son, abandons his farm and went to live as a hermit in the highlands of Provence.
He became a shepherd and during his walks with his dog and his sheep, he took the habit of picking acorns oak he meticulously selects, once back home (a modest house but held).
Every day, with a special cane, he planted one hundred acorns.
After ten years, plantations have resulted in a huge forest of three one hundred thousand trees
Sow seeds in a place where nothing can be interpreted in different ways ...
Give happiness is accessible to any man of good will such Elzéard Bouffier, a shepherd, a true environmentalist and true altruistic demonstrating that we can (each on our scale) act on our environment.
Elzéard Bouffier died peacefully at the age of ... 90 years.
To read, to offer, to spread around you ...
