I have always been loyal to Microsoft for quality equipment at competitive prices. This set is no exception to the rule. I am pretty hard on mice and their comfort, I have not been disappointed at all. The grip is excellent and immediate for both the keyboard to the mouse! Only minor complaint I can make: the keyboard has a glossy finish, class certainly, but that is a magnet to fingerprints, dust and other scratches. Regarding the battery life (provided, of Duracell), I have not yet had the opportunity to check it myself, but some sites say they actually last several months. If that's the case, my respects to Microsoft!
