The installation was easy because I can not understand the comments here and on amazon.com. Simply assign the network interface on the computer a second IP (eg under Linux using 'ip addr add dev eth0 192.169.1.1/24') and you are in the same subnet as the WAP3205v2 and can access the web interface at 192.168.1.2.
Is only irritating that the device 300MBit / s advertised, but then only a 100Mbit / s LAN connection is. The meaning behind this decision opens up to me not because the LAN interface will thus be the bottleneck, at least if one operates the device in access point mode.
A few readings to file transfers (via SMB): Directly at the AP to get to about 10.5 MB / s, which rankommt almost to the theoretical maximum of 100Mbit LAN. 10m / 2 walls further you go on for about 7 MB / s. YouTube video at 720p by two walls by also work perfectly.
