The Mini-Homer is super as a bicycle-Navi: While you have no road map, but always the direction and distance to the destination. When cycling I like to take the side streets or some remote way, and like to try sometimes other ways out; It must then not have to be the shortest or quickest route. The Mini Homer are for this type of navigation all the necessary information, without seeking to impose a specific route.
Another beautiful spot is the export formats the supplied software (KMZ, KML, GPX, CSV, NMEA). With CSV, all values contained (coordinates, altitude, speed, date / time) exported as plain text and can be evaluated in a separate program; a GPX file you can for example also in MapSource from Garmin read (if you for example have a Straßennavi Garmin) and then a track and view completely offline; which is useful, for example on holiday, if you do not have Internet access or the free-quota will not erode by map data.
Due to the small size, you can easily take it in your pocket; the long term is likely good enough for most applications.
Conclusion: strong buy recommendation, especially for the price.
