Wonderful music! 4

As a longtime fan who appreciates Mariah both ballads as well as the mid- and up-tempo and just like how Mariah lives out her obvious preference for R & B and hip-hop into their music (which makes an artist not just for the fans, but also for itself, it eventually is not a service), I am absolutely thrilled with this album.

Since it can be streamed for free on iTunes for several days, I've heard it intensely and my first positive impressions have increased further. Of course, the album features R & B as well as pop ("You Do not Know What To Do", "Meteorite") and other songs that you actually do not like to categorize pretty - it is precisely this mixture of styles and moods that again to me very much. Of particular note is the fact that the album has a distinct retro sound and a lot of Gospel includes, always well measured but audible - the whole thing is simply Mariah.

Mariah's latest album (2009) was a bit disappointing for me in this aspect because it was strong urban-heavy. This now convinced me personally again completely. Mariah is just pop * and * R & B for me.

All right, it is not sure Mariah can do with this album. But I think anyone who is interested should take the time, just once a listen impartially. Many might be surprised!
