Symphony No. 3 in C minor "with Organ" by Camille Saint-Saens is one of the great classics. We never tire of re-listen to the beach Maestoso - Allegro which the organ is simply magnificent. In order to appreciate such a piece of music at home it is imperative to have a hi-fi system of high-end (which I unfortunately do not have ...) In fact, nothing can replace the organ sound in a cathedral . Note the interesting booklet included with the CD that describes the adaptation of this symphony by Daniel Barenboim (the benefit of the cd mp3 ...)
The Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the organist and composer Litaize Gaston (who was blind from birth!) Contribute to provide here a performance of the highest order.
