I have long wondered whether I dare to change the focusing screen at the 6D. Especially for landscapes the grid matte screen I was very irritated. Ultimately, I have yet dared. Another accessory I served in the exchange: "Hama Bellow" Dust Ex "for camera, sensor and lens cleaning", "Bernstein SMD tweezers, 115mm, straight-pointed with ESD coating, 5-051-13" and " AMPRI latex finger cots - size XL / 5 -. 100 units ". The fingerlings are very useful, but if you have to touch it the TV screen as grease stains, which can be caused by fingerprints, are unlikely to be eliminated. The actual exchange was done surprisingly easy and within a few moments, I could not believe how easy it was not itself. 1. With the SMD tweezers I have only very slightly down the clip of the cradle up, and already the holder incl. Mattscheibe fell back .. 2. Using the special tweezers supplied with the focusing screen, the "old" ground glass is gripped on the holder (the forceps engages wonderfully and is specially intended) and easily lifted out and placed on the shelf supplied. 3. Now grab the grid matte screen on the bracket and easily put in the ground glass holder and carefully slide a little backwards. 4. With the bellows again go through the TV screen (if it has lost but a speck of dust). 5. The ground glass holder back gently press into the starting position, 6. Go with the bellows again on the other side focusing screen. 7. lens on it and check the viewfinder. That's it. For me, the exchange, and I'm really not technically gifted, lasted a full 2 minutes.
A great grid matte screen. I do not want to miss the horizontal and vertical lines in the picture during shooting. In my eighth he is the viewfinder image with this Mattscheibe the Org. Par. In my view, a very strong buy recommendation !! I can only recommend any photographer.
