Energy-saving and cost-effective solution with connector for external antenna

Use the device to establish a guest-Fi on the property.
It depends on the LAN4 port with switched guest access to a Fritz box 7390 in my craft workshop in an outbuilding. Because this guest-Fi is anyway only used as Internet access, simultaneous antenna ranges (801.g = 54Mbit).
So at an antenna jack an external omni-directional outdoor antenna with 2m cable, at the second antenna a supplied rubber stub for indoors.
The device offers all the features of much more expensive partly more professional equipment
+ Configuation very simple, but still offers plenty of opportunities (multi-SSID ...)
+ Very cheap
+ Energy saving, I measure 1.8 to 2 watts in operation
+ PoE enabled, PoE splitter is even included!
+ Real-OFF switch on the device
+ Very good range
- No wireless disconnection and reconnection to schedule possible, I'd still want!

Outages and disconnections as reported here more often so far I could not identify.
Probably because I guest access unencrypted and open operate (Yeah, I know ...).
But this, a little tip:
After 12 years of wireless experience with many home and professional equipment all I can advise to test at disconnections occurring in encrypted wireless networks even if they also occur in non-encrypted mode. Mostly namely not - and then the cause is the lack of cooling of the encryption chip. To be found easily, it is cold in clear operational and quite hot (!) In an encrypted mode. Reichelt, Conrad, etc. Voelkner a mini heatsink (usually fits under the housing, are only as 5mm high) order, it stuck with thermally conductive adhesive and is then normally rest with failures. For important wireless devices I have all the chips that are warmer so refitted (costs almost nothing) and have had very good experiences with it. OK the warranty is gone.
When time takes the trouble, in a professional unit of Cisco, LanCom, Netgear look inside (the blue with metal housing), etc., then falls on namely that such heatsink block because their devices are designed for continuous use. Have already refitted devices whose boards are operated out of the way in cavities of planar antennas at the top of 6m mast middle of nowhere in the blazing sun - without any problems; after retrofitting ....
