Infrared Heating

We have the infrared heating for 4 weeks of continuous operation, always in the evening / night for about 10 hours. Installation + operation is very simple, set the desired temperature, then turn it on, ready. The heater is located in the hallway next to the front door, because that was always a cold hole in the apartment. The room has approx 6m² and is within 20 minutes on temperature. I then measured by current meter, average consumption in control to 20 ° C was 350Watt to 360Watt, given 400Watt power were never exceeded. Per night we 3,5kWh consumed, so does cost of about 56ct. If you extrapolate to 120 nights, the heating for the winter months (Nov-Feb) costs only 68 electricity costs.

The Magma infrared heating has the advantage that it is absolutely normal. No noise, no smell, no air movement, which is a huge plus for me. It is very shallow (about the size of a checkerboard) and fits into any corner. So you can always find a place, even in very tight, cluttered spaces.

Small disadvantage is of course the warm-up time, depending on room size and ambient temperature I guess about 20 - 40 minutes until the entire room (if on outdoor temperature previously) has set the heat. For me, that's OK, the heating is to maintain over a long period a room exactly on temperature, which makes them very good. These 400Watt heating is suitable only for smaller spaces, 5m² - 10m².
