On the day top, in the dark there's light smears

The build quality of the frame is on closer inspection is anything but a "masterpiece". Warped plastic and "strong" different gaps indicate a below average quality or quality control. The picture in the evening / night in dark places is also flawless in brighter images. But as soon as films, series or video games run (in my case PS3) with dark / gloomy film or games material in my device unsightly illuminations are (bluish acting) to recognize at the sides. Mainly in the corners, it is striking, especially on the lower right side a bluish shimmering area (hotspot) is visible with "unfavorable" imagery. The general concept is well Clouding or flashlight effect? By lowering the panel luminance I can minimize "fluoroscopy", so it is now even at very low room lighting not great bothers / notice.

I have previously among others a test of the 46-inch model of Area-DVD read (overall assessment: Outstanding), where it was also received it. Here is an excerpt of the display check:

But there are also many things that are very positive and for other people determined also have more weight. For example, the equipment and the range of functions normally found only in higher price ranges. Here are more positive impression, which is why I keep this device also.

+ Remote control looks super stylish and the buttons are well placed.
+ TV can be rotated (by hand) and stands on a very beautiful glass stand.
+ Panel does not reflect quite as strong as in some other manufacturers
+ So far (after 4 weeks.) No software problems such as unwanted Stations deletion etc.
+ The TV is completely silent (0 dB), caused my first TV really no operating noise!
+ Features such as USB recording are just great
+ The Lautprecherausgang can be used to connect to AV receivers as analog stereo output!
+ Game mode (image adjustment) no significant input lag is determine everything runs as usual without delay.

I can not say anything, because not tried on the 3D capabilities and the 3D image impression. Once I tested the 3D features extensively I write here is an addendum. On the Internet I go with my PC that I need no TV, can and would therefore like to report anything to the "online stuff".

Finally, I recommend any new owner to download the 98-page manual, which you can save as a PDF file. There, the individual functions, connections, settings etc. very detalliert and also clearly explained. Can be found on the normal Toshiba website.

Conclusion: Ten years ago, so a TV would have cost half a "fortune", nowadays you specific model ranges of some manufacturers are almost behind "thrown". The latter due to the Edge or backlight technology (eg clouding) and also partly due to huge software issues for some customers maybe not entirely wrong! The price / Leistungsverhältniß however phenomenal and raised a doubt about (almost).
