Two devices on one output

Hey. I bought the Y-cable to connect my monitor and my projector simultaneously and betreiben.Das only works with approximately the same or exactly the same resolution! Since I'm doing now and then video editing and use the second device performing the preview, I use it mainly for two monitors of the same type and (necessarily the same resolution) while there are no problems.
