Very functional, fast and even éleguant

The Huawei Y300 is a smartphone with all the features of the best on the market, a good operating system (Android 4.1.1 "Jelly Bean"), fast (1 GHz), a battery that takes more than two days, an ideal size (comfortable for surfing and which fits in your pocket), a touch sensitive screen, a decent camera (5MB), and an unbeatable price (under $ 100). It is also a stylish smartphone, without being spectacular that is pretty standard. Personally, I love its simple look.

The unit comes with a charging cable and connection to the computer, headphones / microphone fairly basic and battery (no SDcard).

A few other points:

1) the low capacity of the internal memory (4 GB for the system, Apps and data) can be easily remedied by purchasing an SD card. I installed the "ScanDisk Mobile Ultra micro SD HC I - 32GB" (currently on sale for 22 Euros), and it works. The system offers the ability to easily migrate some Apps on the SDcard, but not all. Fits well with my current use (emails, texting, internet, train reservations, music, etc.): The unit is very fluid (WiFi, Bluetooth, phone, etc.). Note: I do not take a lot of pictures / movies and do not play video games; so no opinion on that.

2) the brightness of the screen, while very fine, is a little low for the light outside; the solution is to set the maximum, which is not a problem because the battery following well (at least when new).

3) I find the sound of the camera slightly down (and very basic and flat without headphones). To remedy this I installed the free App "SpeakerBoost" and am satisfied with 20 to 30% boost on the headphones. Warning for your device and your ears: do not exceed 40% of Boost!

In summary, I am very satisfied and recommend it.

PS: Although not well known in France, the Chinese multinational Huawei (pronounced "Ua-Yeah") is one of the biggest seller of telecommunications device in the world. Its current flagship product is the Ascend P6 smartphone, the "big brother" of Y300
