As a gift for the grandmother thought that they finally have to have no fear of a fire caused by candles more.
My "test result" (the grandma is still missing):
First, external impression:
funny yellow color, not reminiscent of the usual commercial real candles
Wax feels genuine, not sticky
Wax drops look a bit unnatural, but not very
The LED sitting pretty deep, you see so well at an angle from above (for example, at the table) is not
Luftzugsensor something chunky and black, but also visible from directly above
Commissioning:
Pro candle you need 3 AAA batteries that you insert on the bottom. Then the small switch on the bottom must be set to On. The Luftzugsensor next to the "flame" responds to something stronger and blow the candle goes. Also from the flame by Luftzugsensor goes reliable.
"Burn":
Once the candle is on, the comic yellow color turns into pleasant, warm orange. Not quite pleasant as a white / beige candle, but by the warm color. Unpleasant, however, falls on the nervous flicker, particularly at the large candle. Nothing with "cozy flickering", more like a candle in a storm. The small candle flickers a little quieter, but more like an outdoor candle. Negative falls on me just as much, that the flame goes out quite often times when flickering, which is not the case with a real candle. It would have been nice if the flame would only be darkened. So sometimes bright, sometimes dark, sometimes from. This in turn reminds me especially in the small candle on, probably because her quieter Flackerverhalten makes the going easy clearer.
Conclusion:
Does what it should. Lights flicker, and other auspusten leave to avoid as well as fires.
But:
for a more realistic representation of it would have been possible to adapt the Flackerverhalten a candle inside, as well as to choose a more natural color of the wax. It would be nice here also the choice (for example between white and champagne, perhaps red). Everything not impossible.
As additional lighting it is certainly good, as well as outdoor candle. But as a true replacement candles, right now in the Christmas season as a table center, she is clearly artificial.
Personally, I prefer real candles, especially since even this special, festive smell have (through the smoke).
But for grandma still my favorite gift, finally, the intention was not, give her to a candle at the center) (which would indeed either way not get far with the burning), but one for the side.
