I bought the MG7150 due to the superior photo printing quality. That's really good. That could be bad text printing I have not thought because that is not my first Canon printer. The Pixma 3000/4000/4300/4950 I used each for about 2 to 4 years. The older models have a longer sustain. The 4950 has held only 25 months after the power supply was broken. The photo and text printing was good for all printers. The printed image is blurred by the MG7150. The letters are ragged and also not the same letters are after renewed pressure equally bad. Even in the setting "High Quality" for text printing typeface is worse than the old models in normal setting. Inexplicably to me is that the pressure on the network is slightly better than USB. The MG7150 also sometimes draws a double paper and crushed, the upper edge at a location. I'll share the printer back. The other points such as - Small plain paper tray even smaller photo tray for small sizes. No specialized for A4 photo paper. Means plain paper and photo paper purely out and vice versa. All my old printer could do better (front and rear compartment). The MG7150 is from another series but could have these advantages. - Would have been ok for me. Although for a network printer that is also questionable. Whether that has changed due to space limitations I can not imagine because the device is significantly larger to me. Also, the scanner can not be the reason. For me the bad text printing and paper feed is unacceptable. I have the impression that is saved always a little more at the printers from year to year.
