I use the largest version of the tripod with a ball head and a EOS60D. Even when the lift means extract this combination is easy to operate for a 190cm tall person without contortions over the viewfinder, minimal head self sufficient. The (very stable) short center column about pull out one third and it even goes completely straight.
Weight and pack size:
==================
For me, highly portable and compact enough. Also folded, not too big. A pannier I use currently not on longer tours it may be appropriate if you, like me, can not attach the tripod to the photo backpack. The best, however, suspended.
Stability:
============
Extremely stable even without Zusatzbeschwerung. I have to trust the tripod camera and not quite petite 28-75 no concerns. The Verschlüssel and joints make a stable impression and redraw, and changeable. The feet do not have spikes, but be on the previously tested soils (street, lawn, tiles, parquet) stable. The legs go easy on / off and lock securely. The spread works in two steps and is stable despite the lack of locking.
The ball head is stable, no tendency to sag. The lock is easy to use and tightly grips, the head moves liquid but not too easy. The quick-change system is a bit "fiddly" in the operation, but holds the disc very tightly so that you need not be afraid that something can come off.
Disadvantages:
========
The alignment of the stand needs an external level, as on the Blitfuss the camera. Alternatively, alignment on the ball head
The closure of the PL200 release plate is relatively complicated in Ver / unlocking which should not try at night and without lamp for the first time one. Specifically, the spear of the button an "empty lock" the recording is unfamiliar blocked.
For smaller people, the tripod may have a slightly large / heavy or bulky.
