It is, incidentally, only my opinion. I am neutral towards any genre and am working mostly with the single player of a game.

Gameplay:
Control:
I found the controls but a bit sluggish. After the latest offshoot of the Bioshock series focuses more on the shooter mechanics, I would have liked a little more fluid handling here. The destinations with the sticks I noticed compared to shooters like Battlefield or Cod but something hard. Similar to GTA 4 and Red Dead Redemption. But just in 1st-person perspective. Targeting through iron sights is the way to R3, because the magic abilities are to be used on L1. Otherwise, control more modern shooters like. At county is ducked, jumped on X, etc.
Game mechanics:
As you know it from its predecessors, it runs from one complex to another, clean the area and then collects all a, which is not at three in the tree. A new feature I evaluate the skyline that resembles a roller coaster and it prepares fun. Even if you are not much power there. For hacking the predecessor withheld, and the myriad plasmids was a greatly reduced. The skills remained a mostly meaningless law and before you pull it, just knock down everything, when lengthy reside with skills. I have tried them all and most of them are useless. In addition, there was also lasting skills that are now garments. These skills were left on the left. Hardly a really pays off. All in all was Biochock Infinite greatly adapted to modern shooters and once distinguishing features act imposed.
KI:
The enemy AI makes my opinion, a rather bad impression. No man would act as the opponents in Bioshock. If you notice any enemies at all, then you spamming you usually to with shots and run during which confused around the area to become even not taken. Persevere Behind the cover, and does not always work, because the AI like to like a Rambo has a fantastic to you and best yet all about the same. Sorry, but the AI is not good really when compared to other games much.
Weapons:
Special weapons no longer exist unfortunately. Although the typical Standartkram got its own style, but basically there's a Gatlinggun, shotgun, assault rifle, pistol, revolver, sniper, rocket launchers, rifles and grenade launchers. All in two versions, which do not differ much. Again, the gameplay has been adapted. Only two more weapons are worn. I think this trend really sucks. The balancing is anyway in the bucket, as it would anyone bother, when you can have all types of weapons like normal.
Game Flow:
The story progression is linear, whereby here again has its freedoms and even more than with the old parts. Elizabeth accompanied us whatsoever and makes fortunately no stress with sayings like: We need to continue going. or we can not stay here long. It is definitely a game to flow, because it is rarely interrupted by cutscenes and is not forced to see every spectacle. A great new feature is the pathfinder, by not strikes the wrong way while exploring first.
Conclusion:
The Bioshock series has never shone through outstanding gameplay, but even the bioshock-typical features have been neglected. I hope I was able to make clear in the criteria, which drives me to a poor rating. From the gameplay I was very endtäuscht.
For me there Gameplay 11/25 points.

Story:
Action:
By that I take away nothing you before, I can not reveal too much, because you will be thrown into the game and only once has no idea what's going on. We start with our protagonist Booker in a boat and brought to a lighthouse in the old way. From there we go to the floating city of Columbia in 1912, and make us to look for a girl named Elizabeth
Protagonist:
The main character was sympathetic to me from the beginning. His name is Booker DeWitt and definitely has humor. His interior monologues make you feel to have a colleague next to him to comment on a few events funny. This is something I would have liked to frequent.
Characters:
As would be Comstock, Booker and Elizabeth, who much to do all together and happen often. By Elizabeth I would have expected more. After all, you spend a lot of time with her, but that usually only half-heartedly or forcibly. Must-have experienced it to understand what I mean.
End (without spoiler):
The last few minutes I had over so mostly a Hähh feeling. In between then came back a little Ahhhh. Ultimately, however, then wars not so easy with the story. Although I have been paying attention, I still had my watch an hour-long video on YouTube in order to clarify all my questions. The plot is extremely low. I was pleasantly surprised.
Conclusion:
The story I actually imagined clichéd and emotionally. Surprisingly, the action went to the closing down so low that I had to deal with it on the Internet. This is actually rare. Ever in games. I actually prefer emotional stories, but earned is earned.
For the story from me it 24/25 points.

Atmosphere:
Setting:
What this item in addition to the story even more special is the detailed and colorful game world. Some of the atmosphere around is balm for the soul. Especially at the beginning of my areas have really liked. The world just seems alive with wobbly platforms, enterprising NPCs or by flying airships.
Soundtrack:
During the sightseeing you will rarely accompanied by music. If then by an atmospheric choir, the game is located, or the like. Orchestral support obtained during the skirmishes shot. Soundtracks can listen on YouTube is yes. I have very much.
NPC:
While the civilized people in the street look lively and entertain themselves mostly, but the players themselves do not respond often. I find a shame. Because I would really have liked cheeky comments of the people. Instead, they stare at one with big eyes and give a peep from him.
Conclusion:
The second highlight of the game may be called atmosphere. Thanks to the attention to detail, the game world has become very horny. I even had three times goosebumps. The dynamic soundtrack convinced.
For the atmosphere from me it 23/25 points.

Technology:
Graphics:
The Unreal Engine 3 is one known to the scrap heap, but they do their service. So the shadow and light and mirror effects look good, I could hear none edge flares and the textures are mostly acceptable. Unfortunately, this engine exists hardly physics. Where all the buildings can be destroyed at the Frostbite engine, it is a hit not even possible a blender from the bar in Bioshock.
Sound:
The sound keeps on even more in the average range. Everything converges processes either in Dolby Digital or DTS. Or you play like me with linear PCM. The genuine five channels have long been standard and also available here, where the Centre is mostly used only in dialogues. As it should be. The weapon sounds are rather meager. Similarly, the remaining sound effects. With the exception of clean voice and soundtrack set to music.
Scope:
There is only a single player that takes up about 8 15 hours. Thanks to the bad game mechanics hardly provides the title replayability, since you already know the story. In the menu there are already for an option to buy the DLC, although there is still no.
Conclusion:
Bioshock Infinte confident in technical terms only slightly during dubbing voices and light / shadow and mirror effects. Otherwise there is not much positive to report, unfortunately.
For the technique from me it 14/25 points.

Overall rating:
Seen Storywise Bioshock one of the games of the year 2013. Likewise, the positive atmosphere stands out. In addition, the gameplay was poor and the technology only slightly above average. Be not angry with me, but just because a game very well meet all sorts of criteria, is not the same throughout the game very well. Accordingly, I do not understand the exceptional reviews of gaming magazines and of many reviewers.
For Bioshock Infinite from me it 72/100 points.
The game thus gets a 4 star rating and stands out as a whole from the average. Definitely worth a run. Furthermore, I'd appreciate a positive review or criticism in the form of a comment.
With best regards
