Positives:
+ Unpacking the device goes fairly easy as a single person because the device is neither heavy nor bulky.
+ The device has a quite narrow margin that makes the TV appear high.
+ The general processing is solid.
+ The initial start-up is rather simple and kept quite understandable for Rent (not programming the favorites list)
+ The sound is quite acceptable for a device of this size
The picture is fluid in the movements.
Negatives:
- The program of the favorites list is extremely cumbersome as each transmitter must be added individually. a collective choice I have not found.
- The picture is not very clear and sharp for my needs. One hardly sees a significant improvement between the digital channels ZDF and ZDF HD. The picture is very restless.
- The base is made of lightweight plastic and makes no stable impression. The device responds in the base operating very sensitive to movements and vibrations (such as opening or closing of cabinet drawers), and then starts very easy to shake. But does not fall to.
- The antenna input is the side of the device, which does not make a common cable routing to the rear.
- The remote control has extremely large (protruding) keys, which I find rather disturbing. It also acts for me, despite their small size, quite confusing.
- The attachment points (thread) for wall mount seem to me appropriate to different depths in the device. Keywords: screw lengths
That's the extent reasonably justifiable for the price of 259 all.
However, the biggest drawback for me, and my reason returned was:
- - - The TV will not automatically play back in the correct aspect ratio, the broadcast image formats mostly. - - -
What does that mean?
Example: The transmitter sends Tele5 both in 16: 9 format, as well as older TV shows in 4: 3 format. Many TV automatically detect the correct format, and adjust the image accordingly. You can specify whether you automatically will always have the original format, or if the screen image will be stretched to the entire image.
16: 9 = Full Screen
4: 3 = image with bars to the left / right.
Unfortunately, that's not so easy, and certainly not automatically in this unit.
You can either go manually by pressing a key between the two formats, or specify that the 4: 3 image is automatically stretched to fit the screen. But then everything is distorted. An automatic adaptation to the respective broadcast format makes this unit in any of the options with really. Especially with broadcasters (regional stations) frequently switch between both formats back and forth, which is often nerfig, and for me an absolute no-go.
After my claims a TV should automatically cope with the current image formats today simultaneously without this each time to stretch, or shrink. He should be able to spend the aspect ratios properly and fully automatically if desired. My main device from another manufacturer can at least.
I attach great importance on, the unit was immediately sent back with Hermes Versand.
