I am not one of those who take part in an instantaneous full-hype. I bought the lens aware of my two Canon Crops. But even here shows the 28-300 at full aperture and partly 1-2 levels above significant edge blurring. With around 800 "test images" I'm practically in every photo and every focal length to this result. At aperture 11 to show the best results, which will also come close close to my prime lenses. (Eg 2.8 / 60 2.0 / 35 mm). Only on my 4,0 / 300mm it comes close in any way. These circumstances were my course in advance clear, just not the accurate comparison results, My personal purpose to buy these optics, is the casual and weight-saving use with minimum equipment at phototechnically relatively "insignificant events". ;-) For example, vacation, hiking, family celebrations etc. In my hobbies like Planespotting, Motorsport, railway photography but one highest sharpness and since I only use my L lenses, small primes or the Sigma 50-500mm. The stabilizer and the AF of Tamron's are great! I will keep the optics due to the flexible application area in any case. For me, it is not "Always top" but an "Gelegentlichdrauf". However, I would find a price lower than 500, - Euro to be appropriate.
