I have long been looking for a good and somewhat lighter hiking boot. My problem, I have a fairly wide foot. Therefore, so far always Meindl Borneo. A really good shoe, which has been through everything. But the already sometimes feels like a log. The variety of shoes from different manufacturers tested, nothing to it. Even the Salewa Mtn Trainer I've had here some time ago, but at that time probably get the Alpin sent. The falls really narrow. Trainer Mid GTX'm now getting the "right" Salewa MS Mtn and very satisfied. In normlen life with a shoe size from 45.5 to 46 on the road I have the Salewa ordered in 47. Fits perfectly. Tested Over the weekend in Ticino. 1250 meters of altitude in the partially steep alpine terrain up and down again. No blisters or bruises, no fatigue of feet in shoes and dry feet through the snow. The sole makes a stable impression. Certainly suited my experience, even for a slight ferrata. Will I still try. One can only hope that this shoe similar long does as the Borneo. Full marks.
