I spent it in the dishwasher, it still works as well. However, I have just spent the protection of water and dishwashing liquid (I'm always afraid that the plastic deforms by heat).
So, this device has a good grip. Right out of the box, it's solid. This is serious. The protection of the unit is easily removed. It is well in hand, and that's important. Conventionally, as on any tenderizer, simply press it to the knives (3 rows of 16 blades) sink into the meat. No difficulties in the spring or the strength of the unit. For testing purposes, I went really hard and really fast. The tenderizer held shock. And my meat has been touched: in any case, it was tasty when we had bought a lot of steaks in supermarkets and we know they are not always tender because no cut in the grain.
In short, this tenderizer has its place in my kitchen. And I will use it for my Burgundian winter. At least I will not have to wait hours and hours to take effect marinade.
